Early access requests. When you submit an early access request, we collect your first name, last name, email address, role or profession, company name (optional), and a description of your intended use (optional). This information is used to evaluate and process your early access application and to communicate with you about your application status.

You may comment anonymously without providing any identifying information. Comments are not publicly displayed — they are sent directly to the FlyAsterova team by email.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage data. When you visit our website, we may automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time and duration of your visit. This information is collected through standard web server logs and, where you consent, through analytics tools.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website and, where you consent, to understand how visitors interact with our content. See Section 8 for full details on our cookie use.
3.3 Information We Do Not Collect
FlyAsterova does not collect payment card information through this website — no booking or payment transactions occur at this stage of the platform's development. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or biometric data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. We do not use your personal information for advertising purposes and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal information. Our legal bases are:
Consent. Where you have given us clear consent to process your information for a specific purpose — for example, subscribing to the newsletter or accepting analytics cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Contract. Where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract — for example, processing an early access application or a Build With Us enquiry.
Legitimate interests. Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests as a business, provided those interests are not overridden by your data protection rights — for example, operating and securing our website, responding to comments and enquiries, and communicating with people who have expressed interest in the platform.
Legal obligation. Where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation that applies to us.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Our standard retention periods are:
After the applicable retention period, we will securely delete or anonymise your personal information. You may also request early deletion of your information at any time — see Section 9 for details.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location and the applicable data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
Right to access. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, along with information about how we process it.
Right to rectification. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”). You have the right to request that we delete your personal information. We will comply unless we have a legal obligation to retain it or a legitimate reason to continue processing it.
Right to restrict processing. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances — for example, if you contest the accuracy of the data while we verify it.
Right to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent or the performance of a contract, and is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another controller.
Right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information where that processing is based on legitimate interests. You also have an absolute right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time.
Right to withdraw consent. Where we process your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of the rights above, email us at privacy@flyasterova.com with your name, the right you wish to exercise, and enough information for us to identify your records. We will respond within 30 days. Where requests are complex or numerous, we may extend this period by a further two months — we will notify you if this is the case.
We will not charge a fee for exercising your rights unless requests are manifestly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.
9.1 Unsubscribing from the Newsletter
Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it will immediately remove your email address from our mailing list. You can also unsubscribe by emailing privacy@flyasterova.com with the subject line “Unsubscribe”.
9.2 Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you are located in Nigeria and believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the NDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. A list of EU data protection authorities is available on the European Data Protection Board's website.
We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you contact a supervisory authority. Please contact us first at privacy@flyasterova.com.
10. How We Protect Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
- All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Access to personal information is restricted to personnel who need it to perform their job functions and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- We use industry-standard secure email protocols (SMTP over TLS) for transactional email delivery.
- Personal information stored with third-party service providers (including Zoho Campaigns) is subject to those providers' security standards and contractual data processing commitments.
- We do not store payment card numbers, CVV codes, or other financial credentials on our systems.
No method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.
11. International Data Transfers
FlyAsterova is operated from Nigeria. When we use third-party service providers such as Zoho Campaigns, your personal information may be processed in countries outside Nigeria — including countries in the European Union and the United States.
Where we transfer personal information outside Nigeria to countries that do not have an equivalent level of data protection, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as data processing agreements that incorporate standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections recognised under the NDPR and GDPR.
By using the FlyAsterova website and submitting information through it, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence. We take all reasonably necessary steps to ensure that such transfers are conducted securely and in accordance with this policy.
12. Children's Privacy
The FlyAsterova website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at privacy@flyasterova.com and we will delete the information promptly.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, please review this privacy policy with a parent or guardian before submitting any personal information to us.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The FlyAsterova website may contain links to third-party websites, including airlines, accommodation providers, and other travel services. These links are provided for your convenience. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those websites and are not responsible for their privacy policies or how they handle your personal information.
We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party website you visit from a link on our platform. The fact that we link to a website does not mean we endorse or recommend it, or that its privacy practices meet our standards.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
For material changes — changes that significantly affect your rights or how we use your information — we will provide more prominent notice, which may include an email notification to subscribers or a notice on the website home page, at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Your continued use of the FlyAsterova website after the effective date of any updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, please stop using the website and contact us to request deletion of your personal information.
