FlyAsterova does not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers. We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate our platform. These providers process personal information on our behalf, under our instructions, and are contractually required to protect it. They include:

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of the website. For more information on managing cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.

8.3 Do Not Track

Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” feature. We respect Do Not Track signals and do not override them with analytics tracking.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location and the applicable data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

Right to access. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, along with information about how we process it.

Right to rectification. You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.

Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”). You have the right to request that we delete your personal information. We will comply unless we have a legal obligation to retain it or a legitimate reason to continue processing it.

Right to restrict processing. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances — for example, if you contest the accuracy of the data while we verify it.

Right to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent or the performance of a contract, and is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another controller.

Right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information where that processing is based on legitimate interests. You also have an absolute right to object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time.

Right to withdraw consent. Where we process your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of the rights above, email us at privacy@flyasterova.com with your name, the right you wish to exercise, and enough information for us to identify your records. We will respond within 30 days. Where requests are complex or numerous, we may extend this period by a further two months — we will notify you if this is the case.

We will not charge a fee for exercising your rights unless requests are manifestly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive.

9.1 Unsubscribing from the Newsletter

Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it will immediately remove your email address from our mailing list. You can also unsubscribe by emailing privacy@flyasterova.com with the subject line “Unsubscribe”.

9.2 Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you are located in Nigeria and believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the NDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. A list of EU data protection authorities is available on the European Data Protection Board's website.

We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you contact a supervisory authority. Please contact us first at privacy@flyasterova.com.

10. How We Protect Your Information

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our website is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
  • Access to personal information is restricted to personnel who need it to perform their job functions and who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • We use industry-standard secure email protocols (SMTP over TLS) for transactional email delivery.
  • Personal information stored with third-party service providers (including Zoho Campaigns) is subject to those providers' security standards and contractual data processing commitments.
  • We do not store payment card numbers, CVV codes, or other financial credentials on our systems.

No method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.

11. International Data Transfers

FlyAsterova is operated from Nigeria. When we use third-party service providers such as Zoho Campaigns, your personal information may be processed in countries outside Nigeria — including countries in the European Union and the United States.

Where we transfer personal information outside Nigeria to countries that do not have an equivalent level of data protection, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as data processing agreements that incorporate standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections recognised under the NDPR and GDPR.

By using the FlyAsterova website and submitting information through it, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence. We take all reasonably necessary steps to ensure that such transfers are conducted securely and in accordance with this policy.

12. Children's Privacy

The FlyAsterova website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at privacy@flyasterova.com and we will delete the information promptly.

If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, please review this privacy policy with a parent or guardian before submitting any personal information to us.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The FlyAsterova website may contain links to third-party websites, including airlines, accommodation providers, and other travel services. These links are provided for your convenience. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those websites and are not responsible for their privacy policies or how they handle your personal information.

We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party website you visit from a link on our platform. The fact that we link to a website does not mean we endorse or recommend it, or that its privacy practices meet our standards.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or applicable legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

For material changes — changes that significantly affect your rights or how we use your information — we will provide more prominent notice, which may include an email notification to subscribers or a notice on the website home page, at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the FlyAsterova website after the effective date of any updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, please stop using the website and contact us to request deletion of your personal information.
